Termites
Termites (also called white ants though they are not ants) cause more damage to buildings than fire. The danger is that they remain undetected until the timber is severely damaged.

The reproduction of termites is amazingly fast, with a colony containing upto 1 million termites. Subterranean termites can come protective against chemicals from under the wooden or concrete floors to infect the timber above. They feed on the cellulose in the wood.

To protect your wooden structures from damage you need to use specially treated wood such as Uniply Platinum Plywood with ATS (Anti Termite Solution).

Platinum ATS - Z Plus
Uniply can always be counted on to meet contemporary needs on a continuous basis through the launch of newer products. The most recent product to be introduced is Platinum ATS-Z Plus. An innovative product, it delivers the highest quality that will add value to every project. Platinum ATS - Z Plus is so dependable that it comes to you with a 300% guarantee. It can last through decades after decades quite comfortably

ATS
This is where ANTI TERMITE SOLUTION comes into play. Certain toxic compounds which are Bio active (Not Toxic to human and other animals) and environmentally safe, and do not contain pesticides and insecticides and are extracted from timbers from the forests of Amazon which have developed effective defenses against termites.

These extracts are used to create a non toxic compound, which are anti fee dent and are mixed with our specially formulated resins and are embedded into each and every veneer using prepress.

Thus ATS actually repels the termites and prevents them from feeding on the wood. When the termites come in proximity with these treated plywood, they cannot tunnel through, becoming disoriented and eventually die. ATS repels and disturbs their growth and reproduction. ATS incapacitates the termites and protects the plywood from their attack.

The absorption capacity of any good timber is only 0.9 mm. Hence we at Uniply, use 1.8 mm heat treated core and veneers for our ply construction.

The absorption of resin and anti fee dent extracts is through and hence is protected against termite attack. These are then pressed in India's first Automated Hot Press for polymerization.

UNlPLY PLATINUM MARINE'ATS" PLYWOOD (IS 710)
Heat and chemically treated, selected wood veneers of even thickness, suitable to produce ATS Marine Plywood are glued together with European Standards Phenolic glue, duly mixed with ATS compounds to achieve internal protection throughout, are assembled with thickerfaceveneers and pressed in India's first Automated Hot Press for polymerization, after pre-pressing. The plywood is then treated with specially formulated chemicals as prescribed by Bureau of Indian Standards by using State-of-the-art "Mechanized Treatment", which also provides a protective surface coating on the plywood to protect it from wood destroying elements.

This acts on the Panel as "ATS" (ANTI TERMITE SQUAD).Thiscombined process makes UNIPLY PLATINUM MARINE PLYWOOD (IS 710) "TERMITE PROOF"*
